Session 1: Opening Plenary: Panel Discussion: What Makes an Award-Winning Tall Building?

9 April 2019
9:15 AM – 10:15 AM

The expanded CTBUH Awards Program embraces the full breadth of interdisciplinary work that brings tall buildings to life, and sustains and prolongs their life cycles. This means that considerations of quality in tall buildings have become increasingly holistic – it is certainly not just a case of being the tallest or earning the highest sustainability ratings. So what are the defining characteristics of an award-winning tall building in this broad context? Join this year’s Best Tall Buildings Awards Jury chair, as well as senior representatives of the owner/developer, architecture, vertical transportation, and other disciplines, as the panelists bring their perspectives to the question, “What Makes an Award-Winning Tall Building?”
